RHETT BUTLER O'CURLA OF CATS OF TARA

We are Kathie and Gary Hunt, I work full time as a Safety Coordinator for a Trucking and Warehouse company that supplies drivers and warehouse workers to companies thought out the United States. Gary is a retired Vietnam Veteran.  Our love for the American Curl begin with watching Cats 101and Too Cute on Animal Planet featuring Caroline Scott's Curl babies in New York.

At the time I was struggling with the thought of having to say good bye to my beloved 20 year old cat Trouble (and believe be he did get in a lot of trouble in his day). All my life I have had rescue cats, on watching Cats 101 and seeing the American Curl I fell in love, telling my husband, "I wish I could have a pedigree cat just once" my loving husband responded with "go ahead and do it". 

I DID, I contacted Caroline in New York and waited for my most perfect Curl, I flew to New York in 2011 and pickup my first American Curl, Procurlharem Rhett Butler O'Curla, (get the theme of Cats Of Tara). I was encouraged by my husband and a good friend to show him in CFA. I did and today he is Procurlharem GC, GPD, RW Rhett Butler O'Curla. 

Caroline has been my mentor ever since, I have also gotten my next two Curls from Procurlharem, Procurlharem GC Ashley Wilkes O'Curl and Porcurlharem CH Bonnie Blue Butler. I have lost my greatest mentor as Caroline left us way to early of ALS, but she left me with three  of the most perfect Curls.
